2017 Trainee of the Year

Taking an opportunity pays off for 2017 NSW Trainee of the Year

When Madison Coelli  first left school, the path towards her future seemed unclear.

“I took the traineeship through GetSet at Southern Cotton thinking it would be a good starting point in the workforce and I really had no idea logistics and studying would become such a passion. I never thought I would be as far as I am today at such a young age, and it is all credit to my traineeship.”

GetSet Inc works closely with trainees and apprentices, as they strive to put young people on the path to success. Madison admits that the traineeship has given her confidence and an understanding of how to act as a professional business person as she  developed a vast range of skills that have been adopted in her day-to-day life.

Madison has since  secured her dream job in logistics and trade at Walnuts Australia making her a role model for women in the agricultural industry. In 2016, she was awarded Leeton Business Awards’ Trainee of the Year and crowned Sunrice Festival Fundraising Ambassador for SteppingOut4Youth and in 2017 Riverina Trainee of the Year.

“My career has flourished due to my traineeship. It’s been eye opening to see how VET has equipped me for success.”
